A 20th Century Tudor Revival Oak Wall Cabinet by Old Charm
Description
A late 20th-century Tudor Revival wall-mounted cabinet, attributed to the British manufacturer Wood Bros under the Old Charm range. The piece is constructed from oak with a dark stained finish, featuring a dual-compartment configuration. The left-hand section is fitted with two doors inset with leaded hexagonal lattice glass, while the right-hand section features two solid doors decorated with traditional linenfold carving. The left vertical edge of the frame is embellished with a carved lunette and rosette border. The cabinet is fitted with ornate, patinated metal butterfly hinges and simple turned wooden knobs. This style of furniture was popularised in the mid-to-late 20th century as a high-quality reproduction of 16th and 17th-century English cabinetry. Dimensions: H 62cm x W 92cm x D 18cm.
