A Collection of Victorian Style Porcelain Figurines and Assorted Decorative Ceramics
Description
A varied assortment of decorative ceramics and collectibles, primarily of late 19th to early 20th-century style. The lot features three hand-painted bisque porcelain figurines depicting children in Victorian-era costume, including bonnets and waistcoats. Included is a glazed earthenware pitcher bearing the transfer-printed text WE SHALL, alongside a small art pottery vase decorated with relief-moulded floral roundels in a blue and green palette. The collection also contains a pink porcelain trinket box with a transfer-printed cherub scene and several cabinet plates and saucers featuring polychrome floral decorations. The items exhibit a range of manufacturing techniques including moulding, hand-painting, and transfer-printing. No visible maker’s marks were identified upon initial inspection. Measurements: Largest figurine approximately 15 cm high; tray width approximately 25 cm.
Condition report:
The collection is offered in varied condition. There is visible surface dust and minor wear consistent with age and handling. Some rubbing is evident to the transfer-printed designs and hand-painted details. Minor chips or abrasions may be present on the more delicate bisque elements. Crazing is likely present on the glazed earthenware surfaces.
