Assorted Yellow and Silver-Tone Vintage Estate Costume Jewellery Lot including Necklaces and Brooches
Description
This comprehensive estate collection comprises a diverse assortment of vintage costume jewellery presented in various yellow and silver-tone base metals. The lot features a variety of necklaces, including rope and herringbone link styles, alongside an array of bracelets and decorative pins. Notable pieces include brooches with enamel butterfly and dragonfly motifs, as well as items accented with what appear to be simulated pearls, red beads, and multi-coloured rhinestones in clear, blue, and red hues. Construction techniques observed include metal casting, prong-setting, and pavé-set accents. No hallmarks, purity stamps, or maker’s marks were identified upon visual inspection. The collection represents a broad range of mid-to-late 20th-century decorative styles. Tray measures approximately 25 cm in width.
Condition report:
The items are in fair to good vintage condition. There is significant tangling among the various chains and necklaces which will require sorting. Surface wear, minor scratches, and some metal discolouration consistent with age are present across the lot. Stones and enamel appear largely intact, though individual settings and clasp functionalities have not been tested.
