Two-Tone Metal Zebra Figural Brooch, Trifari
Description
A vintage figural brooch by Trifari depicting a rearing zebra, part of the 1966 Gold Rush Ark collection. The piece is crafted from two-tone base metal, featuring a dynamic pattern of alternating textured gold-tone and polished silver-tone diagonal stripes. The zebra is detailed with a single red marquise-cut rhinestone representing the eye. The reverse is signed TRIFARI© within a rectangular cartouche on the front leg. This piece is a quintessential example of mid-century animalier costume jewellery. Dimensions: 57mm x 32mm. Weight: 19g.
Condition report:
The brooch is in excellent vintage condition. The gold and silver-tone plating remains bright with only negligible signs of surface wear. The red rhinestone is original and securely held within its setting. The vertical pin stem and rolling safety clasp are in good working order and function correctly.
