Base Metal Beaded Necklace Collection, Turquoise-coloured Stones
Description
A collection of three turquoise-coloured beaded necklaces featuring silver-tone and gold-tone base metal components. The first necklace consists of a single strand of large, polished, flat oval beads with a prominent dark matrix. The second is a multi-strand design incorporating tumbled irregular stone nuggets, small round spacer beads, and a large flat teardrop-shaped focal piece, all connected by sections of fine gold-tone link chain. The third necklace is a long, delicate single strand of uniform, small, round beads. The stones exhibit a vibrant teal colour with heavy grey and black matrix patterning, characteristic of dyed howlite or magnesite. No hallmarks or maker’s marks are present. Length approximately 45.7 cm to 76.2 cm.
Condition report:
The necklaces are in good overall condition. The strands are currently tangled and require careful separation. The silver-tone lobster claw clasp appears to be in working order. Stones appear secure within their stringing.
