Late 20th Century Tudor Revival Oak Hi-Fi Cabinet, Old Charm by Wood Bros
Description
A late 20th-century solid oak media or Hi-Fi cabinet from the celebrated Old Charm range by Wood Bros, Ware, England. Constructed from solid oak with a medium-dark finish, the piece reflects a traditional Tudor revival aesthetic. The upper section comprises a pair of leaded glass doors with a diamond pattern, opening to reveal an interior currently configured for electronic component storage. The lower section features a single drawer embellished with relief-carved floral motifs and an original antiqued metal drop-handle. The cabinet is raised on shaped bracket feet. Original manufacturer’s decals for Woodbros and Made in England are present on the interior door frame. Dimensions: 77cm H x 55cm W x 48cm D.
Condition report:
The cabinet is in good structural condition. The finish shows minor surface scuffs and light wear consistent with age and previous domestic use. The leaded glass is in good order with no breaks or loose cames. The drawer and doors function correctly. Minor dust is present to the interior. No evidence of woodworm or significant structural damage.
