Leonardo Collection and others, Modern Collectible Dolls, Porcelain and Cloth, 25-50 cm
Description
A collection of approximately eleven modern collectible dolls, including one boxed example from the Leonardo Collection named Katie (product code LP3390). The dolls are constructed with bisque porcelain heads, lower arms, and lower legs, attached to stuffed cloth bodies. While the Leonardo doll is marked, the others are unmarked but of a similar late 20th-century manufacture. They feature fixed inset acrylic or glass eyes with applied eyelashes and synthetic fibre wigs in various shades and styles including curls and braids. The dolls are dressed in largely original, elaborate thematic costumes such as Victorian-style velvet and lace dresses, winter outfits with faux-fur trim, and pastoral ensembles with aprons. One doll is accompanied by a small coordinated plush teddy bear. The lot includes two metal adjustable doll stands. Height 25 cm to 50 cm.
Condition report:
The porcelain heads and limbs show no visible cracks, chips, or repairs. The cloth bodies appear structurally sound. The synthetic wigs are generally tidy, though some may require light restyling from display. The original clothing is in good condition without major stains or tears. One doll is new in its original box, though the packaging shows some shelf wear.
