Lot 50:
Early 20th Century Federal Style Mahogany Sideboard
Description
A single dark stained wood sideboard or console cabinet constructed in the Neo-Classical revival style, consistent with early 20th-century interpretations of Federal or Duncan Phyfe furniture. The piece features a long rectangular top over a storage configuration that includes a central concave kneehole recess. The storage sections flanking the recess include two drawers across the upper section, two stacked drawers on the lower left, and a single cabinet door or deep drawer on the lower right. The five storage faces are fitted with ornate brass bail handles and corresponding backplates, with six handles visible in total. The sideboard is supported by four slender, turned, and tapered spindle legs. The wood displays a reddish-brown finish, likely mahogany or cherry stain.
