A Pair of Georgian Revival Mahogany-Toned Side Tables
Description
A pair of dark-stained wood furniture pieces executed in a Neoclassical or Georgian revival style, consisting of a nightstand cabinet and a low side table. Both items feature a reddish-brown mahogany-toned finish over wood and veneer construction. The tops of both pieces are accented by contrasting lighter wood veneered panels bordered by decorative string inlay banding. The taller nightstand features a rectangular top over a single drawer fitted with an aged circular metal pull, situated above two open storage shelves, and rests on a shaped plinth base. The lower side table has an oblong top with rounded ends, standing on four turned legs that connect to a conforming lower shelf. The items are presented as a functional set.
