Description
A single decorative wooden music box/jewelry casket, consistent with Italian Sorrento Ware marquetry. The rectangular box is constructed from mixed woods and features intricate inlaid detailing across the hinged lid and sides in scrolling floral and geometric patterns, utilizing various wood tones including brown, yellow, and black. The box sits upon a molded base. The interior is accessed via the hinged lid, revealing a framed mirror affixed to the underside. The central compartment is lined with pink quilted textile and houses a yellow figurine, likely a ballerina, designed to activate when the box is opened. The design includes two smaller cantilevered side trays, also lined in pink fabric. A small price sticker bearing the numerical inscription 6132 is visible on the center of the lid.
