Statuesque Asian Burgundy and Gold Flowered Floor Vase
Description
A single large decorative floor vase of baluster form, consistent with the style identified in the market as “Statuesque Asian Flowered Vases.” The vessel is constructed from earthenware or composite material, finished with a heavy painted or lacquered surface. The broad, ovoid body is painted deep reddish-burgundy, overlaid with a continuous pattern of stylized tan/gold foliage detailed with black linework. The tall, cylindrical neck terminates in a wide, flared rim. The neck and rim are finished in a contrasting cream/tan color, separated from the body by a narrow red stripe around the shoulder and a wider red band around the rim edge. A small white adhesive sticker displaying the numeric marking “89.87” is affixed high on the neck.
