A Collection of Six Decorative Boxes
Description
A collection of six diverse decorative boxes. Comprising an enameled metal trinket box, identified by web intelligence as a ‘Jewel Enameled Peacock Trinket Box’, featuring a polychrome peacock feather design on its hinged lid and floral motifs on its sides, standing on gilt feet. Also included is a large, dark wood rectangular box, likely mahogany or rosewood, adorned with ornate gilt-metal corner brackets and a key escutcheon. Alongside these is a cream-bodied box with a brass or gilt-metal lid featuring a prominent Art Deco-style sunburst pattern. A lighter wood box with darker trim and a central geometric inlay is also present. Further, a smaller, red lacquered box with delicate polychrome floral and butterfly decoration in an East Asian aesthetic. Finally, a small, light wooden box, clearly marked “Stamps” on its lid, indicating its purpose for holding postage stamps.
