A Pair of Assorted Side Chairs, comprising a Luigi Filippo style chair and a Neoclassical style chair
Description
The first chair, in the Luigi Filippo style (mid-19th century), is crafted from dark, carved wood, exhibiting a curvilinear form with an open, scrolled back. It features carved decorative elements on the crest rail and apron, and cabriole front legs. The seat is upholstered in an olive-green textured fabric with a damask-like floral pattern. A small white rectangular sticker is present on the top rail. The second chair, in a Neoclassical or Sheraton style, features a straight back with vertical splats and a dark wood frame accented with lighter wood inlay on the top rail and stiles. It stands on straight tapered square legs with spade feet. Its drop-in seat is upholstered in a cream-colored fabric with a subtle floral pattern in light green and tan.
