Description
A George III satinwood inlaid secretary bookcase, crafted in two parts from mahogany or walnut with satinwood inlay and veneer, exhibiting a Georgian-style aesthetic. The upper section features a subtly moulded cornice top above two glazed doors with distinctive geometric muntins, enclosing an interior with visible shelves. Below, a slant-front desk flap showcases a herringbone veneer pattern, which would typically open to a fitted desk interior. The lower section comprises three graduated drawers fitted with brass drop pulls and keyholes. The entire piece stands on four elegant cabriole legs.
