A Collection of Decorative Objects, including Three Wedgwood-Style Blue Jasperware Trinket Boxes
Description
A diverse collection of fourteen decorative objects. Prominently featured are three blue ceramic lidded boxes in the Wedgwood-style Jasperware tradition, exhibiting white classical figures and foliate relief ornamentation. The collection also includes a large round polished wood box and a distinctive irregular-shaped burled wood box with dark grain patterns, bearing a white sticker marked “8474”. A large dark reddish-brown circular box with intricate carved or embossed floral and geometric patterns is also present. Further boxes comprise a small white ceramic piece with a painted rose and blue floral motif, a diminutive green metal box with a bird image on its lid, and a small yellowish alabaster-like stone box. Complementing these are several figurines: a large green and gold winged, dragon-like creature, a carved wooden bird, a small brass animal figurine on a wooden base, and a textured tan seal-like figure. A brass ornamental slipper with engraved floral patterns and a small brass vase or candlestick complete the assortment.
