Italian Classical Style Console Table, 1970s
Description
An Italian Classical Style Console Table, dating from the 1970s. The table features a rectangular, clear glass top with softly rounded edges. The base is composed of a central, fluted urn-form element, possibly of painted plaster or composite stone, flanked by four S-curved, fluted supports. The supports and central urn are finished in an off-white or cream color, accented with gold-colored wrapped details and decorative tassels. The base rests on a rectangular plinth base, appearing to be made of a light-colored stone, possibly marble or travertine. There are no visible manufacturer’s markings.
