Vintage Postmodern Cream Lacquered Pedestal Table, Chinoiserie Style
Description
A vintage postmodern square-top pedestal table, finished in a cream-colored lacquer or paint. The table features extensive Chinoiserie-style decoration with hand-painted or decaled motifs of birds, butterflies, and various flowering branches and foliage in shades of green, yellow, pink, and blue. These designs adorn the top and base sides. The top edge incorporates a molded or carved decorative border highlighted with a gold scrolling pattern. The form is consistent with the style of Karl Springer.
