Description
A collection of Portmeirion ‘Botanic Garden’ series ceramic tableware and a lamp base. The group comprises a ginger jar-style lamp base with brass fittings, an oval serving platter, a round cake stand, a teapot, a mug, four square serving dishes, a salt and pepper shaker set, and a toast rack. Each piece is decorated with vibrant polychrome botanical and entomological illustrations, including ‘FUCHSIA MAGELLANICA’ (Fuchsia), ‘ARCTOTIS GRANDIFLORA’ (African Daisy) on the platter alongside a moth and butterfly, ‘ROSA CANINA’ (Dog Rose) on the cake stand with various butterflies and a bee, ‘CYCLAMEN HEDERIFOLIUM’ (Ivy-leaved Cyclamen) on the teapot and shakers, and ‘MAGNOLIA GRANDIFLORA’ (Southern Magnolia) on a square dish. A distinctive green leaf border frames the design on most items.
