A 19th Century George Baxter print titled ‘The Lovers’ Letter Box’, depicting a young woman in 19th-century Romantic or early Victorian style. She is dressed in a ruffled white blouse and dark skirt, holding a small white letter in a wooded or garden setting. The piece is presented under glass within a wide, light gold-tan mat, set into a gold-toned, possibly gilded, wooden frame featuring beaded and rope-twist molding. A white label inscribed with the number ‘6182’ is visible on the lower mat.
