Description
A Late 19th Century Victorian Aesthetic Movement child’s rocking chair. The chair features a dark-stained wooden frame with turned front legs and arm supports, and shaped armrests. The backrest and seat panels are crafted from a lighter-toned wood, extensively decorated with a pattern of varying-sized circular perforations, secured by numerous small metal studs. A white sticker inscribed ‘2/87’ or ‘L/87’ is affixed to the right armrest.
