Burleigh Ware Art Deco 'Jungle Theme' Centerpiece Bowl
Description
A Burleigh Ware Art Deco ‘Jungle Theme’ centerpiece bowl. This oval, glazed ceramic dish features a pale blue-green (celadon) glaze. The wide, undulating rim is decorated in high-relief with stylized felines, possibly panthers, and organic foliage motifs, complemented by sculptural finials on the short sides. The base bears a stamped mark for “ROYAL DOULTON, MADE IN ENGLAND,” and a handwritten inventory number “6451.” Despite the Doulton mark, market consensus and visual comparisons, particularly with items bearing the same inventory number, attribute this design to Burleigh Ware’s ‘Jungle Theme’ series.
