Description

A group of three Liverpool Pennington blue and white ceramic items, ‘Bird on a Branch’ pattern, circa 1785. The lot comprises a dinner plate or charger, a footed bowl, and a cylindrical mug with a strap handle. All pieces feature underglaze decoration in a Chinoiserie style. The plate depicts a bird on a branch surrounded by floral sprigs, while the bowl and mug are adorned with continuous floral patterns. The material appears to be fine earthenware or early porcelain. The base of the mug bears a circular white sticker with handwritten text that appears to read “£235 S11.”
