A Doulton Lambeth Salt-Glazed Stoneware Beaker with Silver-Plated Rim, Dated 1876
Description
A Doulton Lambeth salt-glazed stoneware beaker, dated 1876. The cylindrical, tapering body features a dark brown ground with intricate relief decoration, including cobalt blue and white foliate scrollwork, ochre/tan cloud-like motifs, and bands of raised blue florets with white dots. The rim is a tarnished metallic band, likely silver-plated or pewter. The base is clearly stamped “DOULTON LAMBETH 1876,” along with the Doulton monogram and additional incised potter’s marks.
