Description
A Japanese Banko Ware carved pottery vase, featuring a handled ceramic form with a two-tone glaze. The upper neck, rim, and handles are finished in a glossy dark brown, transitioning to a lighter, matte or semi-gloss yellowish-brown on the bulbous body and foot. The main body is extensively decorated with high-relief carving depicting an East Asian-style landscape scene, including textured mountains, numerous stylized trees resembling pines, and a multi-tiered pagoda-like building nestled among the scenery. No visible text or markings are present.
