Description

A gilded porcelain decorative item by Royal China Works Worcester England, dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. This circular, off-white porcelain piece features a central fluted opening and several peripheral holes, suggesting use as a potpourri holder or pen stand. Its surface is adorned with intricate raised relief patterns and extensive gold gilding in scrolling, foliate motifs, characteristic of its period. The base bears the clear manufacturer’s mark: “ROYAL CHINA WORKS WORCESTER ENGLAND”, enclosing a “G & C” crest marked “ESTABLISHED 1801”, and a letter “B”. Stamped numbers “533” and handwritten “G 3880” in red are also present on the base.
