A Moorcroft Black Ryden 'Echoes' Handled Vase
Description
A Moorcroft Black Ryden ‘Echoes’ pottery handled vase, exhibiting a mid-century modern style. The ceramic body features a textured, vertically ribbed surface, adorned with an expressive orange and brown drip glaze, highlighted by lighter, possibly cream or white, mottled accents, on a plain lighter-toned ceramic base. The vase has a sculptural, flared rim and a single handle. The underside is marked with printed text “BLACK RYDEN”, “MADE IN STOKE ON TRENT ENGLAND”, and a small green maker’s mark. Handwritten notations “JS”, “©02”, and “A/H” are also present.
