Lot 6:
Alison Lowry Pâte-de-Verre Bowl
Description
An Alison Lowry Pâte-de-Verre Bowl. This contemporary sculptural vessel, crafted using the pâte-de-verre (glass paste) technique, features a granular light grey exterior with a textured darker grey band. The intentionally rough, crystalline-like white rim and interior are similarly textured in white. The unique textures and irregular edges are consistent with the artistic process involving crushed glass and casting techniques. An accompanying label identifies the artist as Northern Irish glass artist Alison Lowry.
