Lot 3:
A Moorcroft 'Cornflower' Pattern Vase by Anji Davenport
Description
A Moorcroft ‘Cornflower’ pattern ceramic vase, designed by Anji Davenport. This flared-rim ceramic vase features a pedestal base and a cream crackle glaze body. It is decorated with stylized floral motifs in shades of brown, gold, and orange, against a contrasting dark brown or black rim and base. The crackle glaze is an intentional design feature. The underside bears a circular ‘DECOROFT MADE IN ENGLAND’ sticker, a handwritten or stamped mark appearing to be ‘G. R. Poulton’, and a distinctive paw print logo. The design suggests an Art Nouveau or Art Deco revival style.
