An Antique British Sterling Silver and Cut Glass Shaker
Description
An antique British shaker, composed of Silver and cut glass. The item features a domed, perforated Silver top, hallmarked ‘J & B’ for the maker, with a lion passant for sterling standard, an anchor for the Birmingham assay office, and a date letter ‘D’. The clear glass body is intricately cut with a diamond and cross-hatch pattern, tapering slightly towards the top. The glass pattern is consistent with designs such as Fostoria Glass Co. No. 444 Czarina.
