Bayreuther Königliche Priv. Porzellanfabrik Imari-Style Decorative Plate
Description
A decorative porcelain plate by Bayreuther Königliche Priv. Porzellanfabrik, executed in the Imari style. The plate features a scalloped rim and elaborate polychrome enamel decoration with extensive gilding. The design comprises a central stylized orange-red floral motif surrounded by intricate foliage in dark blue, green, and gold, radiating into alternating panels of white ground with similar floral designs and dark blue ground panels with gilt scrollwork. The reverse displays a red printed mark comprising a crown above the text “BAYREUTHER / KÖNIGLICHE / PRIV. PORZELLANFABRIK.” An additional handwritten orange/red mark, “293 P,” is present on the underside of the rim.
