Description
A Royal Doulton Lustre Ware Fish Vase. This glazed ceramic vase features a flared rim, a constricted neck, and a bulbous body that tapers towards the base. Its decoration consists of a naturalistic aquatic scene, depicting fish swimming amidst green reeds or aquatic plants on a light-colored ground. The lower body exhibits an iridescent quality and vertical green strokes. The interior rim is a contrasting light yellow. The base bears a printed manufacturer’s mark, clearly identifiable as Royal Doulton (featuring a lion atop a crown, with partially visible text “ROYAL DALTON ENGLAND”), alongside a handwritten inscription “481. 1554”.
