A Cased Late Victorian/Edwardian Silver- Vanity Set
Description
This cased antique vanity or dressing table set comprises a hand mirror, hairbrush, clothes brush, comb, shoehorn, and button hook. All metal components are of silver, featuring elaborate repoussé or chased Rococo-style scrolling and floral ornamentation, consistent with a late Victorian or Edwardian period style. The brushes have natural bristles, and the comb has an ivory-toned body with a matching ornate silver spine. The set is housed within a dark-colored fitted case, lined with vibrant, ruched green satin or silk. An hallmark impressed marking is barely visible on the side of one brush’s metal frame.
