Three Early 20th Century Hallmarked Sterling Silver Photo Frames
Description
A group of three early 20th Century hallmarked sterling silver photo frames, comprising one larger and two smaller examples. Each rectangular frame features a plain, reeded or stepped border design consistent with the period. The larger frame bears British hallmarks, including the lion passant for sterling silver, the anchor for the Birmingham assay office, and a date letter which appears to be a capital ‘D’ in a cartouche. A partial maker’s mark, resembling ‘J.P.M. & CO.’, is also present. The inner sections are dark, possibly with fabric inserts.
