A Chinese Blue Underglaze Decorated Celadon Ground Porcelain Ginger Jar Table Lamp, 20th Century
Description
This table lamp features a lidded, ginger jar-style ceramic vessel, likely porcelain, with a pale celadon green ground adorned with extensive blue underglaze decoration. The imagery depicts a traditional Asian landscape with mountains, trees, and birds, complemented by patterned borders on the lid and base of the jar. The ceramic body is mounted on a light-colored wooden plinth base. The lamp conversion includes a brass-toned metal lamp cap, a black plastic socket assembly, and a white electrical cord with a two-prong plug. A white rectangular sticker bearing the handwritten numbers “8886” is affixed to the lid.
