Description
A Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Charger, Qing Dynasty, Kangxi Period. This round East Asian ceramic charger features underglaze blue decoration on a pale celadon-toned crackle-glazed ground. The central design depicts a detailed landscape with multiple figures, traditional buildings, trees, and a bridge. The wide rim is adorned with an intricate, stylized scroll or floral pattern. The reverse exhibits a consistent, pronounced crackle glaze across its entirety, with a central square underglaze blue four-character mark that reads ‘Xuande Nian Zhi’ (Made in the Xuande reign), an apocryphal mark. A white inventory sticker ‘8704 / 3’ is present on the front rim.
