Description
A Victorian Bonheur Du Jour, constructed from dark veneered wood, likely walnut or burl, accented with lighter wood stringing and geometric inlay. The upper section features a central mirrored recess flanked by two small cabinets. The lower section comprises a single frieze drawer, two open shelves, and turned legs. Decorative elements include numerous gilt metal (ormolu) mounts and blue and white ceramic plaques, in the style of Jasperware, depicting classical figures. The overall design exhibits Neoclassical revival elements.
