A 20th Century Walnut Slant-Front Bureau
Description
A 20th Century Walnut Slant-Front Bureau. The traditional style bureau features cabriole-style front feet and three lower drawers, each fitted with metal bail handles. Constructed primarily of walnut, the fall-front displays a prominent figured veneer. When opened, the hinged fall-front reveals an interior fitted with multiple pigeonholes and compartments, and a writing surface inset with a dark, worn material, likely leather. Visible hardware includes metal hinges, keyhole escutcheons, and drawer pulls. A small, unreadable white sticker is present on the exterior of the fall-front, and a small, unreadable metal plaque is affixed to the open writing surface.
