Description
A pair of late 19th to early 20th-century prints. The upper print depicts a woman reclining indoors on a chaise lounge, rendered in a style consistent with Academic or genre painting. It is set within an ornate dark wood frame with a gold inner liner. A partially visible signature, “Darnell,” is located in the lower-left corner. The lower print is a landscape featuring a woman carrying flowers on a path, executed in an Impressionistic or Realistic style. It is presented in a simpler gold-tone wooden frame. Visible markings on the lower print include a label for “Shelbys Auctioneer” and an inscription or label featuring “Geo. H. Block co” followed by the alphanumeric sequence “Ob-XXII-43887”.
