A Pair of Vintage Metal Storage Trunks
Description
A pair of utilitarian sheet metal storage trunks. The upper trunk features a reddish-brown painted finish and a distinctive domed, corrugated lid, secured by a central latch and an ornate escutcheon. It bears a white sticker with “10” and faint white handwriting on the lid that appears to include a name and a four-digit number, possibly a year like “1929” or “1949”. The lower trunk is a flat-top, rectangular design with a faded pale yellow finish and a single front latch, marked with a white sticker “501”.
