Description
An antique industrial safety lamp, commonly known as a miner’s lamp, constructed from heavily rusted ferrous metal and tarnished brass components, including a clear glass viewing cylinder. The utilitarian design features a perforated upper cylinder for ventilation, a robust hanging hook, and internal burner mechanisms. Visible markings include an oval brass plaque partially legible as “PREMIER ENG. Co.” and “7R”, situated above a rectangular brass plate distinctly marked with the number “31”. The same number “31” is also stamped into the metal near the base.
