Dutton Oak Welsh Dresser
Description
Dutton Welsh dresser, crafted from oak. This two-part piece, exhibiting characteristics of the Arts and Crafts or rustic country style, likely dating from the late 19th or early 20th century, features an upper section with a scalloped pediment above two open display shelves, the lower of which is fitted with a plate groove. The base comprises two drawers, each adorned with decorative carved arches and fitted with dark metal ring pulls. Below the drawers are two cabinet doors with raised panels, dark metal strap hinges, and a central latch. The piece stands on a simple plinth base. No legible text or markings are present, only decorative carving.
