Description
A rectangular Victorian console table crafted from mahogany, featuring a veneered top with an intricate geometric “tumbling blocks” or cube illusion marquetry pattern. The central marquetry is bordered by a wider band of wood exhibiting a herringbone grain, framed by a plain outer edge. The table stands on four heavily turned barley twist legs, connected by a matching barley twist stretcher, and terminates in gently curved feet, one fitted with a brass-toned cap. The marquetry utilizes various lighter and darker wood veneers. The dark-stained finish highlights the wood grain.
