A Royal Worcester 'Old Ivory' Aesthetic Movement Small Vase
Description
A Royal Worcester ‘Old Ivory’ Aesthetic Movement small vase, crafted from porcelain or fine earthenware with a glossy cream-colored glaze. It features extensive gilt decoration, including a prominent crane-like bird, winding foliate designs, and smaller dark grey/blue floral motifs. The rim and two upward-sweeping angular handles are also gilded. The base bears a green underglaze factory mark depicting a crown atop an intertwined monogram (likely ‘RC’) within an oval, with a number ‘2’ below, consistent with Royal Worcester production from the late 19th century.
