The shallow, irregularly shaped ceramic dish has a distinct scalloped and fluted rim, often referred to as ‘Shell Edge’. It is decorated in a blue and white palette on an off-white ground, depicting a central pagoda-like structure flanked by trees, small boats, and flying birds, rendered in a rustic, hand-painted manner. The reverse shows an unglazed footring. No discernible maker’s marks are visible.
