Description
This original equine portrait depicts the profile of a bay horse with a dark mane and a white blaze, wearing a brown leather headcollar. The horse is positioned facing a suspended hay net. The work is executed in a realistic illustrative style using pastel or gouache on tan-toned paper. In the lower-left corner is a painted signature in brown pigment consisting of a stylized monogram featuring the letters D and B, followed by the characters S M I T H.
