Four Ercol Quaker Spindle-Back Dining Chairs
Description
four English solid wood dining chairs finished in a dark stain. Each chair is constructed with a high-arched spindle-back in the Quaker style, featuring a shaped oval seat and four tapered, splayed legs. The design incorporates a steam-bent wood back rail enclosing five vertical spindles. A blue and gold rectangular adhesive label is applied to the underside of a seat frame, bearing the printed text MADE IN, ERCOL, and ENGLAND. These pieces are characteristic of the mid-century modern designs produced by Ercol under the direction of Lucian Ercolani.
