Description
A mid-20th century wooden shelving unit or etagere designed in the Regency revival style. The frame features turned supports and rails fashioned to simulate bamboo stalks, finished in a medium-brown wood stain. The unit is composed of five tiers: a solid wooden top shelf with a raised gallery, three intermediate shelves fitted with inset clear glass panels, and a base shelf featuring a woven cane insert. The construction utilises horizontal rails and vertical supports with ring-turning to create the faux bamboo aesthetic. No maker’s marks, labels, or inscriptions are visible on the piece.
