A 20th-century carved oak Tudor Revival side cabinet
Description
A 20th-century oak side cabinet or cupboard designed in the Tudor Revival style. The piece features a rectangular top with a moulded edge over a pair of cupboard doors, each decorated with a carved panel featuring Gothic tracery motifs. The doors open to reveal an interior fitted with a single shelf and a central vertical stile. The carcase is raised on four turned legs joined by a perimeter box stretcher. The wood is finished in a medium-to-dark oak stain. A small, white rectangular adhesive label is present on the upper left side of the cabinet’s body (photo 1), but the characters upon it are not legible as a name. No further maker’s marks or stamps are visible on the exterior or interior surfaces.
