Two silver and butterscotch amber brooches
Description
A lot comprising two silver brooches featuring amber-coloured cabochons. The larger brooch is designed in a modernist style, featuring a central oval butterscotch amber cabochon with characteristic swirled honey and yellow-toned inclusions. The stone is held within a silver bezel surrounded by a frame of four graduating concentric wire rings that terminate at a small spherical bead at the bottom centre. The second item is an oval openwork brooch with a foliate and filigree motif. It features a central circular honey-coloured amber cabochon flanked by four stylized lanceolate leaves and surrounded by C-scroll decoration. No hallmarks, metal fineness stamps, or maker marks are visible in the photograph. The pin and clasp mechanisms are situated on the reverse and are not visible from the front perspective.
