A Pair of Celtic Motif Amber Drop Earrings and a Pair of Double Drop Cherry Amber Earrings SILVER
Description
This lot comprises two matched pairs of drop earrings fashioned from SILVER and amber. The first pair features a cast Celtic triquetra motif, with each earring set with an oval cabochon-cut honey-coloured amber in a rub-over mount. These earrings are fitted with post and butterfly scroll backs. The second pair consists of articulated double drop earrings, each featuring two oval cabochon-cut cherry red ambers. The stones exhibit characteristic internal sun spangle inclusions and are held in simple rub-over mounts. These earrings are fitted with posts. A small rectangular mark is located on the reverse of the upper silver setting of one cherry amber earring, but the characters are not legible. No other stamps, hallmarks, or maker’s marks are visible on either pair.
